Are you looking for a mountain bike that can only do one specific discipline well? If so then this is not the bike for you. I bought my Tilt a few seasons ago and it's been by far the best bike I've ever owned. I work in the bike industry so I normally upgrade to a new bike every season or 2, but I've had no desire to buy a new bike after building this thing up. It handles everything you throw at it. It is by far the most nimble 29er I've ever ridden. It climbs extremely well, and with the CBF platform I don't even lock my rear shock out and it maintains efficiency. I have mine set up as a 138/150 and it descends like a 170 without the bulk. For as short as the chainstay and wheelbase are, it's relatively grounded, but can be maneuvered with ease with the flick of a pinky. If you're doing predominant bike park I would opt for the Lithium, but if you want an overall great climber and descender with the ability to do a few park days in the mix, then this bike is the definite option for you! (For reference I live in Colorado and my main riding spots are Floyd Hill, Rutabaga, White Ranch, Virginia Canyon, and some Trestle)
The only thing better than the bike is the customer service, it's easy to tell that the folks at Canfield genuinely care about rider experience and feedback. As far as a company that designs bikes by real riders, for real riders, these guys take the cake.
Incredible customer service was what made me ultimately go with Canfield when trying out shorter cranks. With all the different standards and then the minutia around chainline, I didn't want to screw things up or spend hours doing research to make sure everything was perfect. They were very responsive and helpful to make sure everything worked perfectly the first time.
High Quality product, high quality service, and high quality company
This is the second set of Canfield cranks that I've ordered for a bike I'm building. I bought these because the first set were extremely high quality, easy to install, and supported by a great company. They have moved across multiple bikes and are still awesome! The team at Canfield is quick to answer questions and genuinely care about their customers and supporting the hobby we all love.
Incredible bike - I just spent 6 days on my new Jedi in the Whistler bike park on my annual trip. Took possession of it in Whistler (thank you to Ty and Eric @ East Fork Bikes in Pocatello). Quick setup and I was on the lift - what a difference the Jedi made, smooth and comfortable in technical sections, boosty and steazy off the jumps. I found myself moving faster than ever and feeling more in control - setting PRs on all the park trails I've ridden for years. The rear suspension just disappeared while I was riding, allowing me to focus on what was ahead instead of what was happening behind me. My riding group called the Jedi "crash-proof" based on how fast and stable I was riding, as if the force really was with me.
Canfield worked with the bike shop to accommodate my height in the bike build out - I'm a tall guy and getting the right setup upfront goes along way to making the bike feel right. Really appreciate the service, consideration, and the incredible bike.
I had a strong feeling this would outperform my current bike on the downhill, but also the uphill? So pleasantly surprised by how well this climbs. It’s so nimble and flings around so well. Super happy with my purchase.
Amazing cranks for stumpy legs, great customer service too
These cranks have been a revelation for me - affordable, burly 150mm cranks have genuinely transformed the way the bike feels.
I've got very short legs for my height, and have always struggled with feeling in control of the bike. Dropping from 165mm to these 150mm cranks feels amazing, and they look sick too 🤘🏽I got silver arms with the orange chainring.
Massive shout out to the customer service as well - from initial enquiries about BB compatibility and sizing up until after delivery, Lance and Lester have been responsive, friendly and helpful at every turn, even with shipping to the UK.
Super-happy with the decision to choose these cranks, strong recommend 🤘🏽
Hi Ya’ll.
Just purchased a Balance large size frame Balance. It arrived quick and safe! I’m so stoked to start this build. Aside from the frame itself, I want to say a bit about customer service. Three days prior to shipping, Lance Canfield himself phoned me letting me know it was on its way! I’ve never had the owner of a company personally contact me in this way! What a surprise! A few days later I had a a few questions about my build regarding brakes and crank lengths. So I gave them a shout. Guess who answers the phone? Yep Lance. We chat for 20 or so. Lance answered all my questions. Never felt like I was just a customer on the other end of the line. I truly felt like I was valued. I can’t say enough how grateful I am for the customer connection at Canfield. I’m looking forward to finishing this build. Never been prouder to own and ride a new bike.
I have been riding the One.2 for a year now and its one of my favourite bikes of all time. I have mine set up with DH suspension but paired with an 11 spd derailleur and dropper post. This bike can send anything and it can get you there too. Perfect for heavy shuttle days with a bit of pedalling or bike park secret trails that require a bit of transit to return to the chairlift. I ride mine as a mullet. 6' and the size large is perfect.
I absolutely love that frame. It's exactly what i've been looking for.
27,5 wheels and short chain stay makes it really easy to maneuver and absolutely awseome to jump.
I'm 5'7'' and i got S size. With a short stem it feels like a dirt jumper. You can run it on your local trails and have lots of fun on bikeparks.
It was a little bit expensive to get it to Europe because of the import taxes but it was definitely worth it.
This thing sends it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WO-kDOnWexQ
My wife wanted an oil slick seatclamp. I told her there was no such thing and even if there was, it couldn't possibly be any good. Enter the Canfield Limited Edition Oil Slick Seatpost Clamp! Talk about workmanship! Talk about oil slickness! If this was loot in a RPG, it would be endgame level stuff. As a matter of fact, when the wife isn't riding I might wear it as an amulet to see if it has any undiscovered magical properties! Just the other day she got pulled over by the cops for making every other MTB in Kentucky ( that didn't have Canfield Limited Edition Oil Slick Seatpost Clamp) look like junk. Acquiring this item has been a boon to our relationship in every way and I can't think of a piece of kit I could recommend any higher.
Best Hardtail I have ridden. Lance is accurate in comparing the bike to a rally car. Fast bike in the short punchy climbs and enough bike for some gnarly and rocky downhills. Bottom bracket high enough for adequate ground clearance on hand cut singletrack, this paired with shorter cranks makes it a game changer. Well built and finish is excellent. Customer service is above and beyond before and after the sale.
I love this bike. It is a beast! And people will routinely stop you to say " Is that a canfield, I heard about those.". And then you can tell them about the supreme level of rad that you achieved on your last ride!
