BREAK-IN PERIOD: New or freshly serviced Canfield Crampon pedals may spin more slowly at first. This is normal and expected, as fresh grease is used to prioritize smooth operation and long-term durability. After a few rides, the grease will break in and the pedals will spin more freely. Periodic greasing helps maintain consistent feel and performance—thicker grease extends service intervals, while lighter grease increases free-spin but requires more frequent maintenance. We recommend adding grease every 3 months with heavy use.
The Ultimate pedals are so thin, light and sturdy. I wouldn't ride any other pedal. I have them in multiple colors on several of my bikes.

Switched to Crampon pedals several years ago now we have them on all our road and mountain bikes. No more hassles clipping in and out. No worries about falling clipping in or out. No delayed starts at traffic lights and no extra pair of shoes when traveling, just take the Pedals. I switched for increased knee mobility and my knee is doing much better out of the clips.

Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy my new pedals. I purchased two sets, one for my e bike and one for my "me" bike and for both applications they are superb. I purchased them for increased ground clearance and shoe grip and your pedals did not disappoint. And the way they're designed in regard to pin replacement is the best I've ever seen. I smacked a rock hard enough to break and flatten a pin and it came right out without ruining the mounting hole.
