The Evolution of Revolution—Built for Gravity.

Born on the steeps and tested on the gnarliest lines, Canfield DH Cranks are built to handle full-tilt downhill abuse without flinching. We set out to create a crank that delivers maximum strength, uncompromising durability, and improved clearance—all while looking fast standing still.

Backed by years of real-world punishment, our cranks have earned a reputation for unmatched reliability. We’ve been perfecting short cranks longer than anyone, delivering a low-profile aluminum design with the shortest lengths in the game and industry-leading strength-to-weight.

Inspired by the forward-thinking design of our Crampon pedals, Canfield DH Cranks are forged for maximum impact resistance and available in lengths down to 150 millimeters. Why so short? Because shorter cranks mean fewer pedal strikes, better ground clearance, and more control in high-consequence terrain. They also allow for a more compact riding position, keeping your center of gravity low and stable when the trail gets steep and loose.

Available in flat black and silver anodized finishes, each arm features raised polished ribbing to reduce heel rub and stand up to seasons of abuse. Canfield DH Cranks—designed to take the hits and keep charging.

Great cranks in short lengths

Great cranks in short lengths, it’s the only crank I ride, takes a licking and keeps on cranking 👍

Great Cranks

I swapped my bike's stock 170mm cranks for a set of these in 160mm (5'8" with approx. 31" inseam). Initially they didn't feel much different just pedaling around my street, which is good in some ways, but they really started to shine out on the trail. Everything just felt smoother, especially grinding up steep inclines or through chunky, techy terrain.

The real proof was in the stats at the end of the rides, showing noticeable improvements in overall and segment times on my local trails. Everything just felt easier and smoother, I was kind of shocked how much faster I was riding some sections.

Another added benefit is that the reduced length allowed me to install a longer dropper post that gets my seat tucked even farther out of the way.

Solid cranks

Solid cranks, especially for the price. I am on my third bike I've installed these on and they can put up with a lot of abuse. It is very hard to find affordable cranks in 150mm and these have made such a difference in my riding. The Canfield customer service is also top notch.

Solid AF; very metal, simple as pie!

I have had a set of the AM cranks on my hardtail for a year and a half. It has remained silent and utterly trouble free despite my best efforts. It has been so good I put a set on my full suspension bike after some vexing creaking that I could not rectify coming from a more notably fancier set-up. There are no preload rings, spacers or other bits to futz with. You have a single bolt on the non-drive side that needs to be tightened down. That's it. I guess you might possibly complain that Canfield uses the older GXP bottom bracket size. So you are on the hook for a another bottom bracket, but this isn't really a big deal as GXP BB's are easy to source (I literally walked into a nearby lbs and they had some). Even if you want something fancy you can get versions that are GXP compatible from Wheels Mfg and Chris King that will work. They look great too. Five outta five Ozzy fingers.

Great Cranks and Support

Great cranks and support for home mechanics. Small bike companies are killing it right now, and these cranks are no exception. Perfect length (finally, after so many years!) and the sizing guide and installation documentation were very clear and helpful as someone who wrenches on their own bike.

These words are my own, but I'm leaving this review as part of a promotion.

Quick note - this may not be applicable when you read this but the facade on the side of the cranks sent to me was different than what is shown on the site. Mine has the skull logo rather than the C logo. Totally fine and the general style was what I expected so not a problem for me, but something to be aware of.

Highly recommend!!!

First ride with my new cranks today. Switched from the 170s that came with my bike to 160. Being on the shorter side loved all the options. They were great and noticed a difference instantly. Awesome customer service as well! Highly recommend.
