The Crampon Mountain shares many of the features that make the Crampon Ultimate one of the best pedals on the market, including the patented convex shape, ultra-thin 6-millimeter leading edges and double sided pins for easy removal, combined with a fresh new look, an even larger 112-millimeter by 106-millimeter platform and virtually maintenance free internals that utilizes a bushing at the axle side and stacked bearings at the end internally.

BREAK-IN PERIOD: It is normal for Canfield Crampon pedals to feel “stiff” when new or after a rebuild, especially compared to the used, worn-out pedals they are replacing. Pedals will break in and spin more freely after a few rides.
Ordered a set of these in red for the slightly bigger platform. Pedals are very sleek I like how thin they are, less pedals strikes and tons of grip. Taking the pedals out of the box and bolting them onto your bike you will be amazed on the quality and light weight for a full sized platform. Lots of colors to choose from to match any build. If you want more grip or more of a concave feel you can order longer pins for the outside edges of the pedals. Pumping these pedals into the turns feels like no other pedal, you can not go wrong with these ones. Pick up a set and you will not want to ride any other pedals. A+++

Stoked you’re digging the larger platform and thin profile of the Crampons. Reducing pedal strikes while keeping tons of grip was a huge part of the design goal, so it’s awesome hearing that come through on trail.
Love that you mentioned the pin customization too. Being able to fine tune grip and concavity is one of those small details that really changes ride feel for different riders.

Now I'm going to have too buy two more sets of these for other bikes... not only are pedal strikes almost completly non existent when they do happen the design makes them glance off gently...I find myself magically finding grip when a bad foot position should have left me with a new shin scar... and they look freaking amazing. 10/10

These are absolutely the BEST pedals on the market. My feet form perfectly on the pedal, the platform size is just right, and they are thin to minimize pedal strikes. My feet never slip on these pedals and they make clipless pedals unnecessary. These are the only pedals I buy for all my bikes.
