When I first heard of this version of the ONE.2, I was fascinated. A 190mm travel bike that can be pedaled around sounds like a dream bike for many. Having previously owned a 27.5 Jedi that rode exactly as Canfield had described, I chose to take them at their word and replace my bike with a ONE.2. I've had this bike for two years now and have yet to be even remotely close to disappointed. This bike is amazing!
This served as my trail bike for about a year. There is no getting around the fact that you're pedaling around a 190mm travel bike. However, I never found a climb that felt like the bike was limiting me from making it up. If you are willing to put in the work, the ONE.2 will surprise you with how well it pedals and climbs.
The descents and especially the bike park is where the ONE.2 shines. Somehow Canfield has found the balance between nimble and plush. On jumps I feel like I'm riding a jet off the lip, then a cloud on the landing. On technical trails it eats rocks and roots like they're nothing while still changing directions with ease. This bike is just fun to ride!
If I had to bring up a "negative" about the bike, it would be it's size. This would not be my first choice if I just wanted a trail bike. I'd suggest the Lithium or Tilt for that.
In my mind this is what a modern freeride bike should be. It's capable of climbing to the top of nearly any trail and ready to absolutely rip when it's time come back down. If you emphasize fun over everything else, you will not be disappointed with the ONE.2.
